Optional advertising measurement
When you allow Marketing cookies, we use OpenAI Pixel, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure website actions and advertising performance. Events include page views, saved lead submissions, completed registrations, checkout starts, verified payments, and resource requests/downloads. Matching data may include SHA-256 hashed email addresses and phone numbers, browser identifiers, IP address and user agent. We do not send director details, NINs, uploaded identity documents or private application links. You can withdraw Marketing consent through Cookie Settings; withdrawal stops future tracking and pending server delivery associated with that browser.
Who this notice covers
Butterflystack provides business software powered by GoHighLevel, implementation, automation consulting and project services. This notice covers our marketing website, enquiries and our own customer administration. For these purposes, Butterflystack determines why and how information is used. Customer data is different
When a business asks us to configure its CRM, website, workflows or customer communications, that business normally determines the purposes of processing its contacts’ data. We act on its documented instructions for that work, and platform providers may process the data to deliver their services. Its privacy notice applies to its customers. If you received a message from one of our customers, contact that business first; we can help route a request. Our data-processing framework explains the required customer agreement.
Information we receive
Depending on your interaction, we receive your name, business, role, email address, telephone number, enquiries, correspondence, account details, project instructions, files, invoices and transaction references. Connected systems may contain CRM contacts, messages, appointments, workflow records and other content you authorise us to access. Hosting providers receive connection information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and security logs. Do not email passwords, full card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
Trial registration and billing
When you register for a trial, we store your name, email, international phone number, team size, selected plan, currency, billing interval, accepted trial model, trial dates and subscription status. We also retain any optional product selections and their payment/order status to administer those purchases. Stripe or Paystack collects payment details on its hosted checkout; our website does not receive your full card number or security code. We retain provider transaction and subscription references and encrypt provider credentials and cancellation tokens. Trial and billing events may be sent to our configured CRM or workflow provider, such as GoHighLevel, to administer the requested service and arrange access. This does not grant permission for promotional messages. Approved staff can view trial records. Your private trial management link authorises status checks and trial cancellation: keep it private.
Calculator reports
The ROI Leaks Calculator runs its live estimates in your browser. When you request a PDF, we store the name, team size, phone country, phone number, company email and calculator inputs and results you submit, along with the report creation time and whether its PDF was served for download. Approved backoffice staff can view these records and export them for report administration. When configured by Butterflystack, these details and results are also sent to our connected CRM or workflow provider, such as GoHighLevel, to administer the report enquiry. Requesting a report does not grant marketing permission. Download links contain a private access token; keep them private. Requesting a report does not subscribe you to promotional messages. Why we use it and our legal basis
We use enquiry details to respond and take steps you request before a contract; account and project information to deliver the agreed service; and billing information to administer payments and meet applicable accounting obligations. We use limited operational information for service security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse, based on legitimate interests where those interests do not override your rights. We use consent where legally required, including for optional marketing or tracking. We do not treat reading this policy as consent to advertising. Where information is required for a contract, we will explain the requirement; without it, the relevant service may not be possible.
Marketing and communication choices
You may ask us to stop marketing at any time by using an unsubscribe mechanism in a message or emailing us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent necessary account, billing or security notices. Permission to receive an enquiry response is not blanket permission for automated promotional calls or texts. We do not sell personal information or share mobile numbers or messaging opt-in records with third parties for their own marketing. Providers handling delivery may receive the information needed to send a message.
Who receives information
Information may be accessed by personnel and contractors working on your authorised service and providers supporting hosting, email, CRM, project collaboration, customer portals and payments. GoHighLevel is the underlying provider for our reseller platform; see its privacy policy and data-processing agreement. A connected integration receives data necessary for the connection you enable. We may disclose information where legally required, to protect people or enforce lawful rights, or in a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. We do not publish customer files or testimonials without permission.
International processing
Providers may process information outside Nigeria, including in the United States and other locations used by their services. The actual locations depend on the product and integration. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, appropriate contractual or other legally recognised safeguards must be in place. Ask us for the arrangements relevant to your project before submitting data subject to location restrictions. This website does not promise Nigeria-only storage.
Retention and security
We keep information for the service or enquiry purpose, the applicable contract, and legitimate legal, accounting or dispute requirements; the period depends on the record and relevant law. Customer project data is subject to the agreed processing schedule and available provider deletion procedures. We delete or anonymise information when no longer needed, subject to lawful holds and backup expiry. We restrict access to people who need it and use reasonable measures appropriate to the service. No system is risk free. Report suspected unauthorised access promptly; never send credentials in a report.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email the contact below with enough detail to identify your relationship and request. We may verify identity proportionately and explain any lawful limitation. We respond within the applicable legal timeframe. You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or another competent authority, without first resolving the matter with us. We do not use the marketing website to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
Cookies, children and changes

Our services are intended for adults acting for businesses, not children. Tell us if a child’s information has been submitted without appropriate authority. We update this notice when our practices change, display the revision date and provide additional notice when required.
